My journey with training started in the rescue world when I began fostering dogs in 2007. (Actually, I think my love for training really started when I was in elementary school and built an agility course for my shitzu terrier...but that’s maybe a story for another time). Back to 2007… I started volunteering at the local shelter and there was a lab mix who was on the euthanasia list for simply being there for too long. She was an amazing dog and had a heart of gold…she just needed some basic training. So I called a local rescue and promised that if they helped save her, I would foster and get her ready for adoption. They agreed. From there on I was hooked…on fostering and learning everything that I could about training. I mentored and shadowed with top trainers and put all of my training efforts to the rescue dogs that needed it most.

In 2007, I also adopted my soul dog, a blue heeler mix named Pete. He was the catalyst for my passion in rescue and truly what led me to where I am today. If you knew Pete, you loved him. He was a kind, old soul and he showed me what a beautifully fulfilled and balanced dog should look like. Pete passed away in June, 2021 at the old and wise age of 14. His spirit lives on through our pack and every dog that I work with.

Fast forward to today…I now run my own training business, Pete’s Adventure Pack, and work with clients in Salt Lake City, Park City and surrounding areas. I’m still passionately involved in rescue…working with a few rescues including POSO Dog Rescue and Second Chance at Love Humane Society.

Last but certainly not least…my husband, AJ, and I have a pack of 6 rescue dogs…Brooks, Koda, Sawyer, Francis, Lucas and Hank. They’re quite the crew and get to enjoy daily fulfillment with biking, hiking, skiing or skijoring depending on the season!

Hi, I’m Molly.

Relationship focused trainer, located in Park City & Salt Lake City, Utah

My Approach

I always start with looking at our dogs’ needs and the relationship between us and our dogs. Are they receiving the fulfillment, guidance and safety within the relationship that they need from us? At the end of the day, our dogs want to know that they can feel safe and trust us as their partner in life. No matter if we are working through serious behavioral problems or simply teaching our dogs how to be rad adventure partners, I start with the fundamentals of building a relationship built on fulfillment, trust and respect.

Together we’ll work to build a game plan that make sense for you AND your dog. This is a partnership and my end goal is always to empower you to continue the work that we’ll start together.

PETE

In memory of Pete. He lived a pretty epic life.
